{"id":624,"date":"2021-05-03T13:05:55","date_gmt":"2021-05-03T12:05:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/scakcongo.com\/?page_id=624"},"modified":"2021-05-18T13:22:43","modified_gmt":"2021-05-18T12:22:43","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/scakcongo.com\/en\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Presentation of Scack<\/h2>\n<p><img src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/12.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h1>SCAK, an important player in Kivu in the export of cocoa, coffee and agricultural products<\/h1>\n<div>\n<p>SCAK sarl, whose head office is in Beni in North Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is one of the important and active actors in the Kivus since 2012 in terms of cocoa exports and other agricultural products (coffee, papain, Rauwolfia,&#8230;) since 2002.<\/p>\n<p>Through its planter support program, SCAK contributes to the development of the cocoa and coffee industry by actively participating in increasing the quantity and quality of production.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/plante-cacao.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h1>Supervision of cocoa farmers<\/h1>\n<div>\n<p>In North Kivu, for the past ten years, cocoa cultivation has increasingly occupied a place of choice on the export market alongside coffee and cinchona, whose vast plantations have been decimated by tracheomycosis and Phytophtora respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Cocoa has thus become an undeniable alternative crop to improve the income of small farmers who are often faced with several challenges, both in terms of production, post-harvest processing and marketing.<\/p>\n<p>SCAK sarl supervises 7,836 farmers, including 7,491 men and 345 women, covering a total field area of 10,252.6 hectares of cocoa spread over five axes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/17.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h1>SCAK, important values<\/h1>\n<div>\n<p>SCAK is constantly working on the sustainable improvement of local and international market systems. All registered producers, supervised by SCAK and UTZ\/Bio certified, receive a premium of $0.2\/KG of cocoa delivered from SCAK. This allows farmers to meet the standards of good agricultural practices compared to those who deliver conventional cocoa.<\/p>\n<p>We also contribute to the improvement of the quality of the beans and the permanent training of the producers in good agricultural practices in order to increase the export volumes of a cocoa of homogeneous quality to satisfy the needs of our customers (Tropicore, Barry Callebaut, Minka SCS, &#8230;)<\/p>\n<p>SCAK provides its cocoa and coffee farmers with 32 agronomists. The frequency of training organized by the agronomists for the farmers is quarterly according to the themes chosen during the growing season.
